Evaluation of mortars with combined use of fine recycled aggregates and waste crumb rubber

The use of secondary materials from waste or debris is a strategy that has been considered starting point for the successful transition to circular economy model. Globally, concrete like disused tires highly concerning, not only due magnitude existing volumes, which are increasing exponentially, but also environmental problems their elimination causes. In search new, more ecological construction can reduce impact produced by industry and management its waste, several studies being conducted incorporate replace two wastes prepare cement-based material so as maximize benefits. Thus, alternatives sought extraction natural resources, such river sand. This study analyzed replacement sand in mortars, separately combination:fine recycled aggregates (FRCA) percentages 0%, 15% 30% weight, crumb rubber 10% volume. Mortars were characterized terms physical mechanical properties durability. results obtained reveal (CR) reduced performance series. However, used combination with FRCA, presented good performance, managed decrease results, where together excellent thermal behavior samples CR, mortar mixtures an alternative recycling disposal aggregate waste.
